Talking about the food here, which you certainly cannot get bored of trying as they have some of the fusion-full and scrumptious preparation at some real good prices. Here are some of the Zesty recommendations of the place :

Fiesta Bowl :

A healthy and tasteful meal consisting of sprouts, lettuce, red cabbage, onion, tomatoes, bell-peppers etc. with olive oil topped over it. Bluntly presented but surely liked by health freaks !

IMG_8764 copy

Cranberry Cooler :

A basic cranberry soda but very refreshing. It had an alien “Masaledaar” twist which made this drink truly unique and a bracing beverage to have at this cafe !

Cranberry

 Nachos Salsa :

None other than regular Doritos nachos, but the salsa and the cream cheese topping are two secrets that made this serve a recommended one. The best part about these nachos is that they are served at your table at a quite affordable price !

IMG_8758 copy

Baby Paneer Burger :

Aesthetically presented this baby is small but mighty on your plate. Sliced paneer tikka, flavourfully marinated inside the buns along with cheese slice, tomatoes & cucumber. This beauty is served with two smilies, yummy salad and tomato ketchup !

Pasta in Pink Sauce :

Not just a regular pasta, as this preparation had the tangy and spiciness retained on your taste buds as you won’t forget to savour it to the core. Served with a crispy garlic bread this pasta won’t fail to make you lips-smack.

IMG_8780 copy

Hummus Pita :

Not JUST hummus & pita, as this preparation had two other scrumptious dips which cannot be ignored. Pesto and garlicky dips along with the hummus one were the hits of the whole platter. The falafel wrapped-up in pita bread was so soft and went just perfectly with the yummy dips. A must have from their menu.

IMG_8763 copy

Farmhouse Pizza :

Extremely buttery with a crispy crust is what made this pizza another recommended preparation. Toppings included all the veggie, but exotic ones along with lots of cheese !

Paneer Kathi Roll :

What makes any Kathi Roll a good one is its mouthful fillings, and this paneer Kathi roll was very good, as not just the filling was outstanding, but the wrap was very soft too. Served with a yummy mint chutney and onions, this preparation is highly recommended !

IMG_8773

Mexican Wrap :

A thick and healthy wrap consisting of beans, corns, paneer etc. The best thing was the sides, cream cheese & salsa dip, which were truly amazing !

IMG_8774

Baked Zucchini Cups :

Medium sized cups made of zucchini filled with cheese and olives with a herby flavour. There are three such cups in one serve. Extremely tasty and a unique preparation, must try !

IMG_8789 copy

 Affogato :

There are two things in an Affogato, Coffee and Ice-cream. If you love coffee and if you love ice-cream, you are definitely gonna love this !

IMG_8782

Waffles :

Kinda stretchy they were, but nicely presented along with the maple syrup and whipped cream. Overall serve could be improved in terms of taste, but the toppings suited very well !

IMG_8781 copy

Pancakes :

Last but certainly not the least, comes the pancakes. Very soft, these small cute pancakes were served with 3 different syrups – Maple, chocolate & mango. Also these syrups were layered between them. Absolutely loveable dessert and hence another must try here !

Overall this place is an absolutely must go on weekends if you don’t want to go very high on your pocket. A pure-veg eatery serving alcohol at some real good prices too. The pop-eat- culture perfectly suits on this place and thus they came up with something new and truly amazing !

Now, here is a slideshow of some other delicacies of this cafe :

The One With “Un Excelente Almuerzo !”

An Excellent Lunch @ Amor,  Malhar Mega Mall, Indore

Ever wished to zest at a place where you can try every second item from their menu without any complains or regrets, rather savour the taste of every dish you try, from soup to dessert without giving it a second thought. Moreover, if that place is having an absolute “Gustos” ambience along with good music and classic feels, how amazing would it be ?

Amor” in Spanish means “Love“, and that is what this place makes you fall-in with it.

Situated at 3rd Floor of Malhar Mega Mall, Amor is the new Cafe-bar which is a part of  District 11 itself. The owners have a long term experience as this place is modified from a famous local Pub called “Delhi Grill”, which was a good visit as well !

With a classy & graceful ambience, this place gives you an option of both casual and outdoor dining experience with the service & staff, skilled & proficient at every aspect.

Talking about their menu, which had some really unusual terms assigned to the dishes and also the taste was damn impressive. There was a complete fusion of multiple flavours which altogether was a blend of an incompatible taste. Few most amazing dishes starting from the soup are as follows :

SOUP’S :~

  • Palak Shorba :

If you are a Palak Paneer fan, you are definitely going to relish this one. Shorba in Urdu means gravy/smooth curry but this one was Spinach based soup with small chunks of paneer and topped with fresh cream. Ultimately this palak shorba was yummzaa ! (8/10)

  • Minestrone Soup :

Primarily, a tomato based Italian soup containing assorted chopped veggies and herbs along with pasta and parmesan cheese. This one was not a creamy soup but definitely had a tangy-wangy flavour. Hence this was a “Me gusta” type of preparation. (8/10)

Processed with MOLDIV
Italian + Indian = Rahul Gandhi

Suggestion : In minestrone soup, the pasta could be more soft. But the Shorba was perfecto.

MEXICAN DELIGHT :~

  • Awesome Nachos :

The name says it all ! This thing had layers of Beans & in-house made Tortilla Chips (Nachos) with toppings such as Sour cream, Salsa Sauce, Cheese, Jalapeños & finally some olives. This fusion of Mexican layers had a really interesting element which was noticeably unique, Guacamole spread ! Damn this mashed Guacamole stole the show that day making the serve a top-notch part of the lunch. Qué sabroso. (9/10)

  • Suggestion : Perfect serve, can’t get any better !

  • Egg Exactly :

Talking about fusion, and here come this incredible weave if minced meat & boiled egg filled in a semi-fried potato bowls. Unbelievable, NO? It tasted even better ! This melt-in-mouth juicy minced meat and boiled egg is served with a unique pesto mayonnaise dip ! (9/10)

Processed with MOLDIV
Ohh..soo..goood !

Suggestion : Recommended to Hogg them when hot !

  • Pesky Potato :

This preparation can also be called as Potato Pizza, because, boiled potato crust topped with various veggies such as tomatoes, bell-peppers, baby corns and olives and finally melted cheese. A fine starter, and hell of an innovation ! (7/10)

Suggestion : Potatoes could be a bit spicy !

DEHEKTE MUTTON KHAZANA :~

  • Mutton Seekh Kebabs :

This had all the 36 characteristics of becoming an idle seekh kebab and were also topped with lots of spicy Indian sauce with tandoori flavours which made the kebabs even more bliss-full. The kebabs were soft, juicy, flavorous & buttery, a must have for all the kebabi-creepers ! (10/10)

Processed with MOLDIV
NOT just another Kebab Dish !

Suggestions : Certainly one of the best Kebabs !

  • Mutton Chop :

Such huge pieces of meat when marinated over with spicy yoghurt preparation, this  perfectly soft and juicy mutton had the superpower of making any non-vegetarian to drool over them. The flavours were a true Divine for the taste buds and the meat was ultra-soft, therefore a highly recommended  preparation. (9/10)

Processed with MOLDIV
Qué delicioso.

Suggestion : Spare some room for these in your stomach.

VEG STARTERS :~

  • OMG Fries :

Three variants of fries accompanying three variants of dips. Three variants served nicely in three different cups so that you can never have a same flavour constantly, also three different dips having barbeque, pesto and cheesy indulging your taste buds into happiness. Choose your combo carefully because every highlight of this dish will make you feel “OMG so delicious” !

Suggestion : Another perfect serve !

  • Martini Samosa :

These mushroom stuffed samosas were served in a Martini glass, thus called Martini Samosa. Such uncommon gesture of serving snacks in cool martini glasses made this serve a stunning preparation. These mini samosas are beautifully served around lettuce and olive salad. Recommended as snack along with a beer.

Processed with MOLDIV
Sun-kissed.

Suggestion : Try them with Barbeque dip to experience some perfectly contrasting flavours.

  • Stuffed Aloo :

Partially fried semi sweet boiled potatoes filled with a bland stuffing, thus was a bummer, but had some really unique flavours.

Processed with MOLDIV
Alooooo.

Suggestion : Can filled with a spicy stuffing to balance the taste.

NON-VEG STARTERS :~

  • Middle Finger :

Another loveable starter served in a Martini glass. Minced chicken kebabs stuffed with mozzarella sticks, then fried in bread-crump coating, can be the simplest description to this fascinating preparation. These “Fish-finger” lookalike chicken-fingers are highly recommended from this place.

Processed with MOLDIV
#Midfig

Suggestion : Must have along with the pesto mayonnaise dip.

  • Chicken Kulfi Kebab :

Soft & tender pieces of chicken coated with yummy and flavorous cream, then wrapped up in silver foil. Its a well-known preparation and thus is recommended from their menu.

Processed with MOLDIV
Twist-Open-Attack !

Suggestion : Hogg them before they cook down.

  • Chilli Basil Chicken :

This spicy treat had quite less significant flavours of basil, still consist of tender pieces of well cooked chicken. The dish also had a variety of veggies such as bell-peppers and onion.

Processed with MOLDIV
Está buenísimo.

MAIN COURSE :~

  • Butter Chicken :

This butter chicken was a surprise to the taste buds as it was incredibly less spicy unlike usually found in the city. Certainly a contrasting preparation and a must try for butter-chicken praisers.

  • What Happen in Bangkok Red/Green Curry :

None other than thai-curry with lots of veggies available in green and red gravy variants. This dish was more on a spicier side rather being a semi-sweet thai-curry. Another recommended preparation with very strong and rich flavours of coconut and lime juice !

  • Dal Makhni :

A finely prepared dal makhni having a medium spicy savouriness. Topped with lots of fresh cream giving an exciting aroma to the taste buds, but was not upto the expectations.

Suggestions : Butter chicken is a must try here.

DESSERTS :~

  • Latin-American 3 Milk Cale :

Rich cream cake soaked in sweetness of three milk, a must try dessert from the menu.

Processed with MOLDIV
The Good Sweet.

Suggestions : Gulp it before anybody else does.

  • Churros :

Last but certainly not the least, this new-comer to the city was a bit oily and over sweet. Served with whipped cream and melted chocolate. This could be improved but since its a new thing, its fair enough to try them once !

Overall, this place really had some of the most remarkable preparations in their menu which are definitely worth a try for all kind of diners.

The One With “The Weekend Eats !”

A Brand New “Dal Bafla” Experience For INDORE !

Ever had an anonymous craving for Indian food on a lazy afternoon but also want to spend a memorable & carefree time with your family ??

Well,  Vrindavan Vatika is the place you are NOT gonna regret in any case.
It is typical Rajasthani Restaurant serving Dal Bafla at its best. A chain of pure veg restaurants known for their quality of food now launching their Dal Bafla Buffet at Vijay Nagar in Indore. Here is my experience of their pre-opening treat of Dal Bafla :-

Welcome : The entrance is cool and the complete floor is covered with Lawn Grass so that you feel good and comfortable walking barefoot. The seating was so attractive that I couldn’t wait to settle down and have yummy Dal Bafla ! Suggestion : They can also welcome guests in a traditional manner in a typical Rajasthani Style !

img_2210-001
The Essence of  Tradition !

Ambience : A partially open garden (Vatika) with walls full of huge traditional Krishna paintings as shown making a Solace and Calm environment. There are multiple Pedestal Fans with Scented Water Spray to beat the heat in this summer. The seating is of typical Rajasthani Style with Short-legged tables and comfortable leather cushion and two leather bolsters on each side.

Serving : The Dal Bafla is to be served on Royal Copper-Steel Thali which were heavy and of optimum quality. Such attractive serving was unique and increased my craving for Dal Bafla soon to be served !

And NOW The Most Awaited Part : DAL BAFLA :-

Its funny that people call it just “Dal Bafla” but the complete “Thali” includes,

  • Tuwar Dal
  • Gujarati Kadhi
  • Gatte Ki Sabzi (Besan Gatta Curry)
  • Bafla (Baked Wheat Balls)
  • Churma Laddu
  • Mint Chutney
  • Tomato Chutney
  • Salad
  • Keri Panna

A Four-Bowl Relish Server was used to serve Dal, Gujarati Kadhi, Gatte Ki Sabzi & Boiled Rice, and the Bafla and Laddu were served from a huge steel bowl.

Tuwar Dal (Split Pigeon Pulses) : A medium spicy creation with true Indian flavours. The taste was really good individually as well as along with the Bafla ! (8/10)

The best way to eat Dal Bafla is to mix dal and small Bafla pieces and eat using traditional way i.e. using your 10 lovely fingers !

Gujarati Kadhi : The white kadhi was less spicy and again a very tasty part of this “Thali”. I had almost two bowls. It was a water based dish with main ingredients as yoghurt, garlic paste and curry leaves. (9/10)

Besan Gutta Curry : A very spicy part of the meal, but had really unique taste from what we generally have. The base was filled with typical Rajasthani Spices and small Besan pieces were flavorous and soft. (8/10)

Bafla : A variant of “Baati” prepared from Wheat Balls with Salt and Yoghurt added to it. There are many ways to bake them, traditionally the wheat balls are directly kept over burning “Dung Cakes” or coal whereas another way is to bake them in oven. I was served oven-made, which was equally tasty and to enhance the flavours, uncountable spoons of “Ghee” was added over them. These golden balls are very heavy to have more than 3 counts. (7/10)

Green Chutney : The fresh chutney was accompanying the thali perfectly and was again a unique preparation, having a different taste from other places.(9/10)

Tomato Chutney : Here comes the tangy twist, generally this is not the part of the meal but suited the dal bafla very nicely. I personally enjoyed this part the most. (10/10)

Churma Laddu : Churma is a must add on to the dal bafla meal and the “Churma laddu” make it a better experience to have. The one that I was served were unique as they were a “Ghee” based preparation and the sweetness was balanced in them with a salty touch. It had many dry-fruits- mainly pistachio nuts and almonds for a crunchy touch. (8/10)

Keri Panna : If you din’t ask for at least four glasses of this very item, you will surely regret this until your next visit. The “Jaljira” touch to this Panna was the speciality and made it different from what we generally have regularly. I wish they maintain the consistency in this forever. This refreshing drink really made my day ! (9/10)

IMG_7266
Drooling ! No?

I am sure now you can’t wait to have this amazing “Dal Bafla” meal, so take a break from your daily workout and make Saturday or Sunday your “Cheating Days” . After-all “Dal-Bafle Ka Sawal hai !“.
